We are delighted to announce that renowned postcolonial scholar Professor Bagele Chilisa has agreed to become the NPRN’s inaugural Scholar in Residence.

Bagele is a leading African scholar, thought leader, speaker, and author who has written extensively on decolonising research and evaluation methodologies. Her book Indigenous Research Methodologies is studied in universities around the globe.

For narrative practice researchers, Bagele’s work offers rigorous and innovative ways to honour local knowledges, centre community voices, and braid together diverse ways of knowing to address complex social problems.

Bagele has produced a new online course for NPRN exploring Indigenous research and evaluation methodologies and their transformative potential for research practice: it’s free to take on our website here.
